From a local estate comes this circa 1940s-50s crysstal rhinestone demi parure. The brooch is approximately 2.75" by 1.5" and the matching clip on earrings are about 1.25" long.
The stunning set is comprised of open back hand set stones, each faceted marquise shapes. The metal setting is a white silver tone rhodium. There are a few round faceted rhinestones that are foil backed.
In near pristine condition, the set would be perfect except for some minimal darkening of one of the round stones on the brooch...hardly noticeable and not detracting or devaluing in my opinion. I mention it to be thorough; however, it would not affect its collectibility or wearability. Retail on a set of this calibre would be in the $75 to $100 range or more. Though unmarked, its quality reminds me of Weiss, Regency, Trifari, and other fine collectible designers of this genre. |
