This is a lovely vintage mixing or fruit bowl I purchased out of an estate in West Virginia over 15 years ago. It is about 9 1/2" in diameter and a little over 3" deep, and though I am unsure, I'd estimate it to date to the 1920s to 30s.
The bowl has a splendid design on off white porcelain with an airbrushed green border and a delightful floral bouquet in the center in soft hues of orange, pink, purple, blue, and green. A Victorian inspired raised relief design adorns the sides, and the bottomis stamped by the maker in gold "Salem U.S.A.".
The bowl is in excellent condition overall with only a faint hairline on one side that is not detracting or noticeable in my opinion. This would be a great display piece to add color and charm to any decor! |
