Purchased at an open air flea market while in Europe, this pre WWII hand drawn pastel drawing is signed by the artist and is entitled "Papa" and dated 1939. It's crudely matted and framed in a natural wood frame and measures about 10 3/4" by 8 3/8".
The subject of this piece is a man in profile. He appears to be wearing a military uniform with cap and he looks to the right and has a short beard and mustache. He's drawn in muted tones of brown and beige.
In good condition, the piece can be enjoyed as it is, however, a professional mat and framing would be ideal. Sure to be an excellent addition to any collection of painted portraits and original artwork. |
