Just in from a local estate comes this unusual Wedgwood piece. Measuring approximately 2 1/4" in diameter, this piece is dated 1972.
The little plaque comes with its own Wedgwood blue holder (not pictured) and must have been a souvenir one purchased while visiting the Wedgwood museum. It's dark blue jasperware with a white raised design of the Butens, founders of the Wedgwood museum. The piece is marked "WEDGWOOD MADE IN ENGLAND" and has the museum information in gold on the back as well.
It is as follows: BUTEN MUSEUM OF WEDGWOOD 1972
Mr & Mrs Harry M Buten Founders
In excellent condition, this great collector's piece makes quite a terrific display, and would round out the most extensive of collections! Free of any apparent damage or repairs, this would a welcomed addition to the most advanced of collections, why not add this one to yours today? |
