From a New England estate, this incredible and unique one-of-a-kind artist signed pendant brooch measures about 2 3/4" high and a tad over 1 1/2" at its widest point. It's marked AKR STERLING (sterling silver) and was made by Amy Kahn Russell.
It is a contemporary piece, about 10-15 yrs old, and is made of heaavy silver with a hand carved painted bone figural feline at the top and an oval cabachon gemstone that is dalmation jasper. At the bottom is a pear or teardrop shaped cabachon carnelian. All stones and the carving miniature cat are all mounted with a straight edge bezel.
The tag originally said "Carved bone Dalmation Carnelian Sterling Silver". It is in EXCELLENT condition, like new, with no damage or repair. It is well constructed with a bale at the top to hang from a large chain, as well as a sturdy shank with safety clasp to wear as a brooch if desired.
