Sweet white bisque porcelain Inarco cherub (cherubim, cupid, angel) from the 1960s. Gold wings and loincloth with painted gold accents around the base. Measures nearly 6" tall with green stamped maker's mark: INARCO CLEVE (Cleveland), OHIO. It looks like the number "E-2013" or "2017" under that, and a black and gold "INARCO JAPAN" sticker still remains. The cherub holds what looks to be a cornocopia with a basketweave type design. He's nicely detailed with some minor soiling to be expected. Pictures should tell the story. This one's a real cutie and in near mint condition with no chips, nicks, or repairs. Made in Japan, this company is also known for its lady headvases and other planters and vases. |
