This a nice old medal in brass or bronze by Balfour dated on the back "8-16-52". Measuring about 2 3/8" long with an off white slightly soiled grosgrain ribbon, this piece has nice blue enameling on the front with a wonderful detailed relief of a diver. On the enameled section, it reads "PALMETTO" and "CHAMPIONSHIPS". The back, besides the date, is engraved "3 MTR DIVING" and "BALFOUR". The pinback is original and also marked "Balfour."
In excellent original condition, this medallion diving award has an awesome design reminiscent of an art deco or art moderne and retro design.
