I bought these in Europe about 6 1/2 yrs ago. I don't know a lot about his charming little pair of shoes, though they appear very old. I believe they were worn by an actual child, though they would be great for doll too.
The shoes are worn and aged, yet in very good, well preserved condition. They are about 5 1/2" by 2" at their widest points. I think they are leather and each one has a little pom pom on the tip and a little strap and buckle. I'd estimate these to date to the late Victorian era to the depression era, circa 1880s-1920s. Any information on this style or origin is greatly appreciated. I bought them in Holland, so they may be Dutch, or perhaps French or Belgian. |
