Large 2-3/4" diameter, silver over bronze medal
Depicting A. Rene Marcq writer of The responsibility of public power (1911), and Collaboration under Enemy Occupation(1946). He was the dean at Faculté de Droit/Ecole des Sciences criminologiques ( Faculty of Law / Ecole des Sciences criminological --in Belgium.)
The medal is sculpted by Alfred Courtine ( or Courtene, or Courteni, signed behind the portrait's collar).
On the back it reads "A Rene Marcq ses Disciples- ses Amis 1882-1947"
Cast by Fonson it is marked on the edge.
