Kentley Flying MALLARDS Vintage Lap Trays

This is an original box from 1947 from Kentley Corporation, Grand Rapids, 9, Michigan. This features FOUR DeLuxe Buffet Trays that are the oversize ones that are larger than ordinary lap trays. These measure17.25 x 8.25 inches each. <p>
These trays feature FLYING MALLARDS and are done on a bluish background. Thse are not perfect and have some flaws with discoloration. HOWEVER, you might paint them, or just use them to serve your favorite hunter. Great for the cottage. THE INSTRUCTIONS SAY THEY ARE MADE OF CAREFULLY SELECTED, DURABLE WOOD FIBRES, WHILE BACK AND FRONT ARE COVERED WITH A FINE, WATER AND ALCOHOL RESISTANT LITHOGRAPHED PAPER, SKILLFULLY FUSED TO THE SURFACE. It says they are easily cleaned by wiping with a damp cloth. <p> Still great for that hunter. We have taken photos of each one.

This hunting decoy is a Drake Green-Wing Teal. This bird rights itself perfectly. It has glass-eyes, basswood body and head with cedar weigthed keel. Large screws and epoxy glue hold this bird together. It is in the alert position with its head turned slightly to the right. All acrylic paints used over a sealed body and head. It is full sized decoy and measures 11 long x 6 high x 4 ¾ wide. Excellent Addition To Your Spread, Pond or Mantle.
