V-31 TOMCATTERS US Navy Military PATCH
The V-31 TOMCATTERS is the second oldest continuously active US Navy aircraft squadron of over 60 years. This is a patch issued as an addition to the Fighting Felix patch when they were issued F-14 Tomcats in the 1890’s. Their first flights were aboard the V-31 was the USS John F. Kennedy in January of 1982. They have flown many versions of the F-14’s. The red and black patch here was named after the Red Force which was a joint air operations exercise with other US squadrons and countries. In 1998 the red and black patch was deleted and the Felix patch was brought back, as were the jet decorative paintings and uniform patches, to exclusively Felix 31. This patch is in very good condition and measures 4 ½ inches tall and 3 ½ inches wide. Excellent Addition To Your Military Collection!!
