This is a great tin and hard plastic OLD Advertising Bank. These were given out in the 1950s to get people to sign up for new accounts.It reads on the front SAVINGS INSURED TO $1,000.00 CURRENT ANNUAL DIVIDEND 3% (PERCENT SIGN) then the next line is SERVICE SAVINGS AND LOAN ASSN. then the next line is 4138 W. VERNOR AT SCOTTEN DETROIT 9, MICHIGAN. It comes in its original box, without the lid. It was made by Banthrico Industries, Inc. 17 N. Desplaines St., Chicago 6, Illinois, U.S.A. KEY SLIPPED AWAY, NO KEY Umbrella bank measures app 5 1/2 inches at hightest point x 4 inches at widest point. Base diameter app 2 7/8 inches. Box measures app 4 1/2" x 4 3/8 inches. Both are in fair condition as shown in photos. The bank top has csome color fading and marks, but could be easily spraypainted with gold paint. Some scratching on the clear plastic.

This is a fabulous old bank in the shape of Old Mother Hubbard’s Shoe. It is finely detailed from the front laces to the shingles on the roof top. <p>Money Slot is at the top, back side of the roof. There is a little mushroom over the front door. It measures approx. 5 inches tall and5 ½ inches wide. It is marked on the bottom USA other markings are unreadable but looks like Crestline Mfg. Brooklyn NY. A Must For The Kids Room Or Collection!!

Vintage H L K Savings Advertising Bank Glass

This is a glass jar with lid that has been covered in tan leather. On one side it reads ‘Watch the Money’, the other side reads ‘Climb The Ladder’, and between the two a section that looks like a ladder. The third side reads Montreal Canada. The lid has a picture of three Canadian Mounted Police and there Shepard dogs. This bank is an advertisement for HLK Savings Bank in Montreal Canada. Bottom is marked 14 H.L.K. Made in Canada. The leather on the lid is torn at the side of picture. It measures approx. 4 inches tall and 3 inches wide.
