Metlox California Provincial Rooster Match Box Holder Wall Pocket A scarce accessory piece in the Mid Century California Provincial dinnerware pattern by Metlox Poppytrail, this pottery kitchen match holder also works well as a wall pocket planter. It's 7-3/4" high by 4-1/4" wide by 5" deep overall front to back measuring to the pull knob of the lower drawer.

The signature red, green and yellow rooster design is painted underglaze on the front, stylized flowers on the sides. There's a hanging hole at the top. The underside is marked with a circular green stamp Poppytrail by Metlox, Made In California. The match holder is in excellent condition with no crazing, damage, or wear.

1930s Metlox Poppytrail 200 Series Tumblers, Set of 5 Five 8-ounce pottery tumblers in the Poppytrail 200 Series line, produced by Metlox California circa 1934 to 1936. They're 4" tall and come in Fiesta-like colors of Sea Green, Poppy Orange, Turquoise Blue, Canary Yellow, and Delphinium Blue.

The Delphinium or cobalt blue tumbler has a small glaze flake or scratch on one side near the bottom as shown in the third picture. It's to the glaze only and does not affect the underlying pottery. Otherwise, the tumblers are in perfect condition without wear or other damage - even the dry foot undersides are clean. Incised on the bottoms simply 235-T U.S.A. Price is for the set of five.

Metlox Sculptured Grape Canister or Vase Canisters in the beautiful Sculptured Grape pattern by Metlox are scarce. This one does not have the lid, but it makes a gorgeous vase or utensil crock. It's 7-1/4" tall by 4-3/4" diameter at the rim. Aside from one tiny sand grain embedded in the pottery, it's in perfect condition with no damage or crazing.

Metlox Vernon Ware Della Robbia Cream Pitcher with Underplate This nice larger size creamer in the Metlox Vernonware Della Robbia pattern comes with a saucer underliner, doubling as a syrup pitcher. It's 5-1/4" high, the saucer is 6-1/2" diameter. The creamer has a couple of faint marks that are under the glaze, one on the inside rim near the spout, the other at the very bottom - they're from the painting process. The saucer has some light gray stacking marks in the center and staining on the underside.

Metlox Vernon Ware Della Robbia Dinner Plate, 4 Available With its colorful fruit border embossed in high relief on cream, Della Robbia by Metlox Vernonware is a terrific dinnerware pattern for summer and fall. There are four dinner plates available, 10-3/4" diameter. They're in very good vintage condition with no chips, flakes, or scratches, just a few light utensil marks in the centers. There are some minor paint flaws under the glaze from manufacture, consisting of things like a small blue dot on one rim and little specks of rust paint going into the cream color below the border (shown in the closeup photo). Four plates are available, price is per plate.

Metlox Vernon Ware Della Robbia Oval Serving Platter This 11-1/8" by 8-1/2" oval platter is in the Della Robbia dinnerware pattern by Metlox Vernonware. There are a couple of dark sand specks in the glaze below the fruit border, otherwise it's in excellent condition with no wear or damage, not even utensil marks. Della Robbia is an ideal tableware pattern for summer and fall.
