Duncan and Miller Sandwich Round 16 Inch Hostess Plate
This massive crystal serving platter, torte, or hostess plate is the largest piece in Duncan & Miller's Sandwich line at just over 16" diameter. Very glossy and highly reflective, it was difficult to get a good picture. One of the serrated tips has a flake on the underside rim. You will probably never see it and will only find it with careful fingertip searching - the flake is small, smooth and very unnoticeable. There are also a few shallow utensil scratches in the center of the plate. You cannot feel them and can only see them when tilting the plate so that light reflects just right. Still, less wear than would be expected of a 50 to 80 year old crystal serving piece of such size and weight, the beautiful hostess plate is so sparkly and shiny it almost glitters.

Duncan Miller 11 Inch Glass Basket with Floral Cutting
At just over 11 inches tall, this is the largest size crystal basket that Duncan Miller made. It has a leaf pattern in the glass and large wheel cut flowers on each side. Pat'd is molded inside the bottom.
The basket has a circular bruise on the bottom, shown in closeup. It's flat and only on the bottom - I promise it doesn't show at all unless you pick the basket up and turn it over. Price reflects condition.
Circa: 1920s - 1930s

This handled plate in the Tear Drops pattern by Duncan Miller is probably an underplate for the mayo. It measures about 8" diameter, almost 10" from handle to handle. It does have some scratches - not deep but they are visible when held up to the light or glare reflects.
