Mammy and Chef Black Americana Salt and Pepper Shakers Set
These figural Black Americana salt and pepper shakers were made in Japan in the 1950s and have the original blue and white paper Japan labels. They are a Mammy and Pappy chef couple, just over 3" high. Each has a banner decal on the front that says "Souvenir of Pocatello Ida". The decals are in good condition but they can be removed if you prefer. The paint and finish are very good on both shakers, there is no damage, and the cork stoppers are intact.

Yellowstone Old Faithful Souvenir Celluloid Sewing Tape Measure
This antique souvenir celluloid tape measure has a realistic scene of the Old Faithful geyser in Yellowstone National Park on both sides. The sides of the case are silver or silverplate. The cloth tape goes to at least 48" inches (I was afraid to pull it out any farther once I met slight resistance) and is marked Made In U.S.A. The tape is retractable and the mechanism works fine. There is very slight rub wear to one side of the tape where it rested on a surface, just a loss of the glossy finish, nothing serious. Otherwise it's in excellent vintage condition. 1-1/2" diameter.
Circa: 1920s - 1930s

Sardegna Italy Souvenir Kitchen Towel
A vintage cotton souvenir kitchen tea towel of Sardegna Italy. Wonderful map graphics in bright primary colors, measures 18" by 24". Dates to 1960s, possibly 1950s. The towel is signed but I can't read the signature, possibly Elen Bicce. Some mild fading to the colors and a couple of minor, small spots that are barely visible among the busy design - about the only way to notice them is to examine the back of the towel.
Circa: 1960

It has its powder screen and puff but no sign that there was ever any powder inside. The mirror has some minor spotting and three scratches and there is evidence of light "purse wear" to the finish, nothing noticeable. The underside does have a faint rouge stain as shown and the puff has rust colored spots on one side. The compact measures 2-3/4" diameter and comes in its original (plain) cardboard box.

1930s Yellowstone Park Painted Leather Snapshots Photo Album
Hand painted leather souvenirs were popular in Yellowstone National Park gift shops in the 1920s and 1930s. This sueded leather "SnapShots" photo album is from that time period, with a painted scene of the waterfalls at the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, and the words Yellowstone Park lettered at the bottom.
Inside are 20 sheets of heavy black paper, all unused with no evidence of tape or photo mounts. The back is plain undecorated leather. The album is tied together with red lacing. There is a chip on the upper back corner, and two small nicks to the upper front corner. Very minor, light scuffing to the tan suede on the front, less than you'd expect to see on something of this age. Overall the album is in very good unused condition. Measures 6-1/2" by 5".
Circa: 1930

Yellowstone Park Souvenir Chalkware Bear Bookends
A great set of chalkware bookends depicting bears at the mouth of rock caves, a vintage souvenir of Yellowstone National Park. They're 4-3/4" high by nearly 5" wide and have green felt protecting the bottoms.
The bookends display wonderfully from the front but they have the normal wear and chipping common to old chalkware on the backs and sides. The damage is best visible in the second picture. It isn't bad, just some chipping to the back corners and wear at the upper back tops. The only wear visible from the front is a rub mark chip to one bear's nose, shown in closeup in the third photo. There are no identifying marks but I don't they date any later than the 1950s, perhaps earlier. See my other listings for more vintage and antique Yellowstone souvenirs and memorabilia.

Pair 1958 Tropical Hawaii Samoa Framed Prints - Cruise Ship Menu Art
These attractive tropical themed framed watercolor prints are actually the covers of dinner menus from a Matson Lines cruise ship, the SS Lurline, dated 1958. Both are the artwork of Louis Macouillard. One print is titled Hawaii (the beach scene with the fishing nets, the one with the grass huts at water's edge is titled Samoa. When you remove the prints from the frame, they open up to reveal two different dinner menus on board the cruise ship. The Hawaii menu is intact but the Samoa print has been cut apart at the back near the center fold but both parts are present.
They're in good condition, mounted in basic wooden frames with gold trim under glass. Shipping is calculated with the glass, but if you like I can ship without the glass for considerably less postage (2 lbs boxed weight vs 4.5 lbs).

Child's Painted Leather Coin Purse, Yellowstone Park Souvenir
This old leather coin or change purse was a souvenir of Yellowstone Park, no doubt meant for a child. Made of sueded buckskin, it's 4-3/4" by 3-1/2" with a tasseled rayon cord carry strap or handle. One the front is a hand painted scene of Old Faithful geyser.
The purse is in remarkable condition for its age, undoubtedly stored away and never used. There is no wear, damage, or soiling. Painted leather souvenirs were popular in Yellowstone gift shops in the 1920s and 1930s, though I'm sure a few could still be found in West Yellowstone tourist traps during World War II.
