1922 Montgomery Ward Catalog Reprint 1969 Hardcover Book
This heavy, oversize hardcover book is a reprint of the 1922 Montgomery Ward Golden Jubilee catalog. It was their 97th catalog, celebrating 50 years in business. There were 670 pages of merchandise, all reprinted in the book exactly as they appeared in the original catalog. "Monkey Wards" as my Mom called them sold everything - clothing, furs, shoes, domestics and linens, tools, luggage, jewelry, personal care items, hardware, musical instruments, toys, furniture, horse saddles, farm equipment, appliances large and small, every type of household item imaginable, and yes, even the proverbial kitchen sink.
The book is an excellent research tool for collectors and dealers of just about anything available to consumers in the early 1920s. There's a thorough index so you can easily find what you're looking for. The book measures 9-1/2" by 13-1/2". The pages are printed on paper made to resemble the original catalog pages, with intentional darkening at the edges. The paper dust jacket has quite a bit of edge wear, but it's done its job of protecting the book itself - it's in very good condition with no damage or wear.

1944 Renie Los Angeles Orange County Street Map Atlas Book
This is a Renié Atlas of Los Angeles city and county dated 1944, and it includes the "Victory Edition" of the 1943 Orange County (and cities) California atlas. There are directories, street maps, boundaries of adjoining cities and counties, points of interest, brief area histories, facts and figures, and a lot more packed into this 240 page, fully indexed 5-3/4" by 8-3/4" spiral bound leatherette book.
The cover has some corner and edge wear but is intact. The very front and back pages have some soiling from age and storage but all other pages are fine with no tears, writing, or stains other than thumb-wear at the edges. Published by California Map Co. of Los Angeles.
