Retro 1950s Stop Ice Beverage Tumbler Ice Inserts Mint in Box
An apparently never used 1940s to early 1950s barware product called Stop Ice in the original box. The box says its "The Perfect Hostess Aid", and reads "Clever plastic "stop-ice" holds ice back while you drink. No more frozen lips, No more ice that slips. Each colorful handle a distinctive drink marker". Made by Cabri Manufacturing Co. of Hollywood California.
The 8 hard plastic tumbler inserts slip over the rim of your glass. The round discs have cutouts to allow the liquid through while retaining the ice. The colored clips are about 2" long, the ice catcher discs are 2" diameter and marked Pat. Pend. They have no damage but do need to be washed before use. The original box as an odd water stain pattern all over the top that almost looks like part of the design. It did not soak through to the reverse side of the lid at all.
Circa: 1947 - 1952

This classy Mid Century ice bucket is made of copper and a black leather-like material (I'm not sure if it's real grained leather or vinyl). It's 10" tall by just under 8" diameter at the rim. The original copper ice tongs are present.
The ice bucket is in excellent vintage condition with one tiny pinpoint depression on the lid. There are no scratches, cuts, or other problems and the copper is clean and gleaming. The under side is marked with the Coppercraft Guild CG in oval mark.

Hasko Set of Canape Trays and Crystal Ashtrays in Original Box
This boxed Hasko Deluxe Canape Trays set is from the 1940s - patent numbers on the backs of the trays date to 1941. Inside the box are four bridge, cocktail, buffet or tea trays and four oblong crystal ashtrays. The trays are wood covered with woodgrain paper with multi-color wildflower bouquet decorations in the centers. They measure 10-3/4" by 5". The heavy glass ashtrays are 5" by 2-1/2".
One tray was damaged by tape used to hold the box together. A little piece of the flower graphic near the edge of the tray lifted up when the tape was removed, but I trimmed the piece of tape and put it back on the tray. The others, and the ashtrays, are in excellent condition with no damage. The box has two tears between the window and the lower side flap, which was why it was taped.
Circa: 1940s
