Lewiston Idaho Leather Snapshots Photo Album Hand Painted Indian
This vintage souvenir photo album is titled Snap Shots and has a wonderful image of an Indian chief on the leather cover, along with "Lewiston Idaho". It may be a painted decal, but it has the appearance of hand painting with brush stroke effects and texture. The 8" by 6" album is unused, filled with 28 pages of blank heavy black paper. Some minor storage scuffing on the back, no damage.
Circa: 1940s

1950s Indian Pencil Child's Writing Set Mint in Package
The plastic bag to this unused late 1950s child's writing set is worn and yellowed, but the package and contents are intact and have never been opened. The set consists of two 7" striped lead pencils, a drum encased pencil sharpener with glass mirror top, and two painted wood Indian figure pencil toppers. The feathers on top of the Indian's heads appear to be erasers. The backing card inside is printed with Native American illustrations: a teepee, peace pipe, drums, pottery, and Indians in a canoe. The cardboard package topper says "Writing Set, Made In Japan". The round mirror piece is loose from the sharpener, everything else inside the bag is intact and undamaged.
Circa: 1950s

Lot of 4 Vintage Native American Indian Themed Souvenir Collectibles
This is a small lot of 1940s and 1950s Indian themed collectibles. The 5-1/2" by 4" cardboard drum body is missing the leather top and bottom, but the graphics are terrific. A gold foil label reading Yellowstone Park is on the side.
The other cardboard drum item is a "Lucky Indian Tom Tom" mailable postcard souvenir with an attached address tag that you could fill out and mail. The leather top has come untied, the bottom piece is missing. Whatever was originally written or printed after "Souvenir Of" on the tag has faded away, but it was probably a Yellowstone souvenir as well.
Next we have an utterly impractical Indian drum salt or pepper shaker in wood with suede leather covering the top and bottom and a cork stopper in the side. It's decorated with a looped strand of glass seed beads and a red feather.
The last item is a suede leather canoe, 4-1/2" long by 1-1/2" high. It rests on a little leather disk so it can stand upright. Something was probably inside the canoe originally.
Circa: 1940s - 1950s
