Ornate Gold Molded Plastic Picture Frame for 8 by 10 inch Print
This nice looking ornate gilt picture frame is made of hard plastic, though it doesn't look like it until you touch it. It measures 14 by 12 inches overall and will take an 8 by 10 inch picture or painting.
The back has vertical and horizontal hangers built into the cardboard backing, and metal bars to hold stretcher bars or picture backing in place. The back is dated 1969 and marked with what looks like T R Este Co. - it's hard to make out. Excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or damage.

Gesso Over Wood Gold Gilt Frame 8 by 10 Interior
This vintage gold gilt picture frame features ornate gesso decoration over 1-3/4" single wood molding. The overall dimensions are 10 by 12 inches, and the frame will take an 8 by 10 inch picture. The raised plaster or gesso decoration consists of swoops and swirls that could be floral or cherubic in nature. There is some crazing but I see no chips or flakes. Decorative and pretty but not so imposing as to detract attention from the picture or photo.

Gold Gilt with Green Velvet Picture Frame for 8 by 10 Print
This picture frame has a leafy plaster or gesso over wood border with a green velvet accent band. The green color is showing darker in the pictures than it really is - the true color is moss or olive green. The gold gilt finish is accented by a light reddish brown wash over the leaf chain. The outside dimensions are 11-5/8 by 13-3/4 inches. The frame will take an 8 by 10 inch picture, painting, or print.
There's a little bit of scuffing and wear to the gilt finish at the outside edges and corners, nothing that's going to be noticeable when the frame is on the wall. The back is marked Made In Taiwan, which would date the frame to the 1970s or early 1980s.

Gilt and Green Picture Frame with Leaf Decoration for 7 by 9 inch Print
Sized to take a 7 by 9 inch or slightly larger picture or painting, this vintage plaster or gesso over wood picture frame is gold gilt over dull grayish green. The decoration is a graceful leaf border arranged to look like cranes in flight. The outside dimensions are 12 by 10 inches by 1-1/8 thick.
There are some flakes and chips to the plaster at the edges and corners. The damage is noticeable up close but won't be as much when hung on the wall.

14 by 12 Wooden Picture Frame Gold Gilt and Redwood Brown
This vintage picture frame is 14 by 12 inches outside dimensions and will take an 8 by 10 inch picture. The carved-look gold gilt border appears to be gesso with the finish having some crazing or crackle lines but no chips or flakes. The center accent band is painted a reddish brown or redwood color, and the interior molding nearest the center is gold. This area has some rub marks to the paint where you can see the original black paint underneath, indicating the paint is not original. The back of the frame has the remains of brown paper backing and is fitted with a sawtooth hanger. The frame feels heavy for it's size.

Chestnut Suede Speckled Wood and Brown Velvet Picture Frame for 5 by 7 Print
This is a neat looking wooden picture frame with a spotty or speckled light brown-on-brown finish and interior accent band in light brown velvet. The outside dimensions are 12 by 10 inches. The frame will take a 5 by 7 inch picture, actually a shade larger would work too.
The frame has a few nicks and rub marks on both short ends as shown in the photos. The back is stamped 5 X 7, Made in Mexico, and Chestnut Suede.

Skinny 14 by 11 Carved Wood Picture Frame in Antiqued Gilt
This wooden picture frame is 7/8" wide. It will take a picture or painting that is 14 by 11 inches or just a shade bigger. The overall dimensions are 15-3/8" by 12-3/8". The carved scrolly molding is finished in antiqued gold (gold rubbed over black). One outside corner has a scratch to the finish.

Wooden Oval Needlework or Picture Frame 8 by 10 Opening
This is the type of plain oval wood frame you used to see framing old needlepoint pictures, usually roses or other flowers. I don't think this frame is antique - although it's cut from a nice piece of dark, grainy wood and stained, you can see the seams and glue on the back where the two frame pieces were put together. The outside dimensions are 9-3/8" by 11-1/2", the inside back is 8 by 10 inches. The displayable area inside the frame is a half inch less all around.

Oval Italian Gilt Metal Picture Frame
A fancy oval cast brass gilt picture frame with antiqued finish, made in Mid-Century Italy. It's 10" high by just over 7" wide overall, with a picture opening of 6-1/2" by 4-3/4". There's a loop molded into the back rim for hanging. You'll need to cut your own backing to fit, this is just the metal frame only. One left.

Italian Brass Picture Frame with Rose and Bow Decoration
This pretty little picture frame was made in Italy of cast brass. Victorian Revival in style with its bow top and rose garland sides, it was made in the middle of the last century, between the 1940s and 1960s. The outer dimensions are 6-1/2" long by 4" wide, the picture opening is 3-1/4" by 2-1/2". The back is marked Made In Italy and there is a hanger but no backing.

Pretty little cast brass picture frame ornate scrolly border, measures just over 5 by 3-3/4 inches overall, with a picture opening of 2-1/2" by 3-1/4". This one was probably intended as a needlework frame, judging from the foam padded chipboard backing. The back has a built in hanging hole and is marked Italy.
