Kreamer Copper Gallon 4 Quart Liquid Measure Pitcher
I bought this sturdy old Kreamer copper measuring pitcher at a farm auction. It has a 4 quart or one gallon capacity and is 10" tall by 6-1/2" diameter at the base. The front is embossed U.S. Kreamer Inc. 1941, the upper side is impressed 4 QT. Most people would assume that 1941 is the year it was made, but it's more likely a stock or part number, as the style and construction of the pitcher is much more indicative of the early 1900s, and the Kreamer company was around long before the turn of the century.
The measure is galvanized inside, and the tin has some normal oxidation (darkening) but no rust. The outside has a number of small dings and bumps, and there is discoloration to the copper from a long-ago spill down the side and lower front. The pitcher holds water with no leaks and is in overall good condition for its age, displaying nicely.

1930s Revere Copper Egg Boiler with Whistling Chick Finial
This is a scarce piece of 1930s copper cookware by Revere - the official name was "Chic Whistling Egg Cooker", complete with yellow plastic chick whistler on top. The two pans fit together similar to a double boiler. The upper pot has a center pillar with water line markings for soft, medium, and hard cooked eggs. There's also a water fill line on the outside of the lower pot. You fill the pans with water and heat. When the eggs are cooked to the desired hardness or softness, the chick whistles.
The cooker is just over 5-3/4" high by 5" diameter with 5-1/2" brass handles. It's very clean inside and out with the exception of some light sediment in the lower pot. The undersides of both pots have several small dents and dings. The hard phenolic plastic chic is cracked on one side. The particular mark on this piece - Rome Metal Ware / Revere Solid Copper - was used only from 1929 to 1932.
Please note that today's eggs are larger than they were 70 years ago - you may not be able to cook normal sized grocery store eggs in this piece.

Retro Jam and Jelly Condiment Set in Glass, Copper and Wood
Do you remember the Early American style kitchens of the 1950s and early 60s, with the copper lantern or wagon wheel light fixtures and copper cupboard hardware? This retro jam and jelly table serving set is from the same era and looks like it was just made for that kitchen style. It consists of two glass jelly jars in a black iron holder. The holder handle and lids are made of brushed copper with wood finials.
The glass jam jars are 3-3/4" high by 3" diameter. Each has a colorful fruit decal on the front. I've added a pair of teak and brass serving spoons - they're aren't original but look fine with the set. The metal holder has some minor black paint flakes, otherwise all pieces are in excellent condition.

Copper Covered Divided Buffet Serving Dish
A 3-piece antique covered serving dish in nickel lined solid copper. The oblong dish measures 16" by 10" by 4" high overall including the cover and handles. Inside is a nickel lined 2-section dish that lifts out of the solid copper base pan which can hold hot water to keep the food inside warm. The inside of the lid is also nickel lined. There are no maker's marks.
The set is in good vintage condition, clean inside and perfectly useable for serving food. There are minor signs of age and wear, nothing serious or noticeable except perhaps the dark spot on the corner of the cover, which is the result of old label or price tag glue that was never properly removed. The serving dish appears to have been kept polished for many years but not recently and is now developing a warm patina.

Hand Tooled Copper Over Glass Salt Pepper Shakers on Tray
This very unusual copper salt and pepper shaker set has a pierced and chased rosebud flower and leaf decoration. The shakers are 3-1/2" tall, made of copper wrapped around vertically ribbed glass bodies. The matching reticulated copper tray measures 5-1/2" by 4-1/2". They have a somewhat Southwestern look but there are no maker's marks.
The shakers are in very good condition with one small ding on one of the shaker lids. The lids do screw on properly and evenly, one was just on incorrectly in the pictures. The tray has two shiny, unpatinated spots where the shakers rested.

Vintage Cast Iron and Copper Coffee Grinder
This attractive vintage cast iron and copper coffee grinder does work, but it was probably made more as a decorative counter or tabletop piece than strictly functional. There are no identifying marks that I can see, but it was probably made in the 1940s or 1950s.
The grinder is 10" tall and mounted on a 5-3/4" square wooden base. The wooden drawer inside the grinder is missing one panel, probably the front as there is no pull knob. It's painted black with a copper funnel cup and lid on top, copper painted trim on the wheel. A screw mechanism on the back adjusts the rotation of the wheel and the grind coarseness. The copper bean cup could stand a cleaning, there are spots of green verdigris on the cover.

Edwardian Copper Spirit Kettle with Stand
An antique solid copper spirit kettle with alcohol burner and iron tripod hanging stand, late Victorian or Edwardian period (1895 to 1910). It's European in origin, probably German or British.
The tea pot or kettle has a wooden handle with worn black paint and twisted copper stationary handle brackets. The 19" twisted iron stand has a graceful acanthus leaf form at the top and decorative copper rosettes on the legs. The kettle is about 6" diameter, 8-1/2" wide to the tip of the gooseneck spout (measurement does not include handle width).
The covered burner is intact with a few minor dings on the body, very small. The stand has some light rust, mostly to the burner holder. The kettle has a few shallow, barely noticeable dings to the body on one side only, near the spout. They look as old as the kettle itself, with no disturbance of the patina. There are no scratches to the finish, just a slight dullness to the copper finish resulting from a lack of dusting.
The mark on the bottom of the kettle depicts an eagle above 16/8 over L. in a circle. I'm not familiar with the eagle mark, but the 12/8 L. probably means 1-1/2 liters, which is the teapot's capacity (the metric system was in use by the major nations of continental Europe by 1900).
Circa: 1895 - 1910

Persian Islamic Copper Covered Dish or Pot
This old covered copper dish or pot has a hand chased organic design on the sides and lid which is probably Persian. The two cast metal handles are not brass, nor are they iron - they appear to be some sort of bronze alloy. The inside is lined in either tin or zinc, but I would be wary of cooking or serving food in the pot. It's 4" high to the top of the lid, just over 2" deep to the rim, and about 6-3/4" diameter not including the handles. Unsigned of course, age undetermined but probably not later than 1930s.

1930s Revere Copper Ringed Beehive Tea Kettle with Whistling Chick Spout
This beehive shaped, ringed solid copper 2-quart whistling teakettle was made by Revere Copper & Brass Company in the early 1930s (the mark on the underside was used from approximately 1929 to 1934). It has a hard plastic (possibly Bakelite or a related phenolic) bird cap or finial on the spout which should whistle when the water boils - I haven't tested it as I don't want to put the clean kettle on a burner and cause possible heat marks. The handle looks plastic or Bakelite too but it's actually enamel-coated metal.
The kettle holds water and is still functional but it does show its nearly 80-year age. There's a dent on the bottom edge and some dings on the sides, shown in the closeup pictures. The bird whistler has a hairline crack at one side. It looks like it was kept clean and has a wonderful glowing warm copper color, and of course displays beautifully.
