Circa: 1930s Country of Origin: Japan Manufacturer: Pre-War Japan Import Simply gorgeous Japan porcelain lemon server dating to the 1930s, possibly 1920s, lavishly decorated in gold moriage. The scene features a bamboo tree, flowers, and a stylized pond with a volcano mountain peak in the background, done in colors of golden tan, pearly white, pale cream-yellow, and a touch of magenta. The scalloped plate measures 6-1/4" diameter and has a right-side gold handle. The back is marked with the initials KB in a diamond, surrounded by a circle and the words Made in Japan inside a larger circle, and Hand Painted below.

In excellent condition with no chips or flakes and only the slightest wear to the gold at the handle and corners of the scalloped rim. There is a small scratch to the paint at the left side of the plate, opposite the handle.
