Circa: 1910 - 1912 Country of Origin: United States Manufacturer: Dugan Glass Co. A beautiful peach opalescent carnival glass compote by Dugan in the Starfish pattern, circa 1910 to 1912. Starfish was not made in abundance and only appeared on two items, a more common handled bonbon and this scarce ruffled compote.
About 6-1/4" diameter by 3-1/2" high, the coloring is magnificent and the finish is unmarred. The only damage is a shallow smooth chip, actually more of a flake, on the underside of the base. I'm not sure if you can see it at the 3 o'clock position in the third picture, it's less than 1/4 inch long and very thin.

The seam line above the base has a bit of extra glass on both sides, which you can see in the first photo. Offered at less than half of book value.
