Circa: 1900 - 1920 Country of Origin: United Kingdom Manufacturer: Victorian Era English Import I believe these unusual little silvered copper dishes are individual aspic or food molds. They're 3-1/2" diameter by about 3/4" deep, with deeply embossed designs vaguely reminiscent of the sea. Each has an applied loop handle in the form of a long snake.
The molds are copper but were once tinned on the inside, silverplated on the bottoms. Most of the silverplating is still present but the inner tinning is all but gone. They are stamped Made In England. Surprisingly heavy for their size. Price is for the pair.
