This 1940s dutch boy flower holder vase by Yona Ceramics of California is badly crazed but very attractive. The blond Dutch boy carries water buckets over his shoulder which form the vase openings. The hand painted design and distinctive shape resembles the work of Hedi Schoop, not surprising as Yona Lippin and her husband worked for Hedi before starting their own studio. Original label on the underside is torn but still present.
