A pair of patriotically decorated red white and blue unsilvered glass Christmas ornaments, made during World War II with painted decoration rather than the usual silvering, as silvering agents were only available for military use. The larger ornament is about 3 inches high with painted white stars across the center red stripe, thin blue stripes above and below. The background is opaque off-white. It's in excellent vintage condition.
The other ornament is 2-1/2 inches high with alternating red and blue horizontal rings or stripes on a semi-opaque white background. One side of the ornament is fine, the other side has some wear and flaking to the painted stripes as shown in the second picture.
