Cabinet Photo – Kaiser Wilhelm II’s sons 1887 - RARE. A rare image in beautiful condition. It shows two of the Kaiser’s young sons in 1887 as they pose in a studio boat that bears the name of the royal family, Hohenzollern. Kronprinz Wilhelm, age 5, mans the oar as Prinz Eitel-Friedrich, age 4, looks on. (Both helped lead the German Army in WWI). There is some ink notation on the back that has the birth and death dates.

CABINET PHOTO - AMAZING HOUSEWARES PARTY C.1900. CLICK THE IMAGE TO SEE THE ENTIRE PHOTO. This is an extraordinary photograph of what appears to be the turn of the century equivalent of a Tupperware party. The women are all holding different household wares and are all in a festive mood. There are two men in the photo. The charming young guy is in the middle of all the ladies, while an older man is off to the side.

CABINET PHOTO – BUNDLED UP KIDS AND SLED C.1880. As clearly shown by this great image, mothers have always over bundled their kids… even for a studio photograph! The poor little guy on the left looks like he is about to pass out. Fantastic fur outfit on the little guy and gorgeous fur trim on the older child. These kids clearly came from a wealthy family. Cabinet Photo – Twins in Wicker Stroller Delightful image of two identical twins. I suspect that the image was made by combining two different shots. The soft vertical line is in the plate, not the print. I think the best shot of the twin on the left was combined with the best view of the twin on the left. Photographer: McElhose, Dodgeville, Wis. Very interesting and detailed event photo of the Cabrillo Day parade in 1894. The miniature clipper ship is powered by two men on bicycles (or one two-person bike). To the right of the ship is an awning for Ingersoll’s Ice Cream. In the distance is a sign for Llewelyn’s Shoe Store.

This cabinet photo was given out as a promotional tool, ostensibly for the Baking Powder Company. It is also likely that, because Conkling controlled the Republican political machine...
