Great WWI-era print of British soldiers (TOMMIES) early in the war. These were the heroic soldiers of the BEF, the professional British army which was largely killed off in the first year of the war. Please note that this print is framed and has non-glare glass which makes it hard to scan well. It is in perfect condition and not at all dull like it looks here. Artist: J.F. Bouchor, official painter to the French Armies. Size 6.25 x
Note on Framing: This print was framed about 40 years ago. Nice, simple black frame with small gold edge, dark navy blue mat. Framing is still good with just a few nicks on frame that can be touched up. Non-glare glass gives the art a very nice diffused look in person, however it doesn't scan well. Excellent condition. Ready to hang and enjoy.
