This remarkable piece is a very early thermos-type bottle made by the Icy-Hot company of Cincinnati. 15" tall.
The exterior is an attractive, beautifully finished ribbed brass. The liner looks like thermos-style glass and is intact. (We have not attempted to fill the thermos and would not advise using it). The brass is in excellent shape and shows suprisingly modest wear from what must have been a long and interesting life. There are just two very modest dents in the top area. A super piece. <p>
Imprint on bottom reads: "Trade Mark ICY-HOT. REG US PAT OFF AND GT BRT. PAT SEP'T 1, 1908-OCT. 6, 1908, MAY 11, 1909-JUNE 1, 1909. OTHER PAT'S P'D'D. THE ICY-HOT BOTTLE CO. CINCINNATI, O. USA." (The number 62 is also imprinted under all the above information).
