Extremely fine and rare image of a 19th century English judge. Appears to have been taken in his chambers because the background looks like law books. Lighting is also different than studio lighting. There is a name written under the photo, but we can't make it out. W. C. Tully or Sully perhaps. Photographer: London Stereoscopic Co. 106 x 108 Regent Street, W. "Photographers to the Royal Family." The back of the card also advertises "Free Lessons In Photography" and " Special Studios & Dark Rooms reserved for the use of Amateurs." This is a superb piece in near perfect condition.
