In a room setting no less. This is an unusual image to say the least. C.1890s. Note the wonderful surrounding details... the mans umbrella, the unusual vase on the table, the prints on the wall, the bottle and other assorted vintage accessories. Perhaps a backstage photo from a play or maybe a photo from a costume party.
The photograph measures 3.75" x 4.5" and it is on a mat that measures 5.25" x 5.25". The embossed mat has some modest edge wear, but the photo is in extra fine condition. No creases, tears or discoloration. Extremely sharp with great contrast.
