We’ve seen children posing with dogs, cats and ponies, but this is a first. Very amusing image that was obviously taken seriously by the little boy. He has his hand on the squirrel as if they are buddies. The boy is dressed in a nice outfit with a big hat, suit, scarf and high button shoes. On the back is a pencil notation that says "Christmass (yes, ss) Dec. 25, 1888." Size 4.25" x 6.5". Photographer: C.A. Hoff, South Manchester, Conn. Both the image and card mount are in excellent condition with just slight edge wear on the corners. It looks like it was protected in an album.
