Nifty image of a substantial farmhouse in the late 19th century. The owner and his wife and dog are out in front by the gate. Peering out the window in what was probably the parlor is another man and woman. The house has a very pretty cupola on top. On the back is written “Residence of Frank Brooks, Halsey Valley, NY.” This is between Corning and Binghamton. Size is 4 1/4 x 5 1/4. No photographer ID. Condition is excellent with fine detail in this photo. The tan card mount has a little soiling, but no dents or bends. |
