C.1880. As clearly shown by this great image, mothers have always over bundled their kids… even for a studio photograph! The poor little guy on the left looks like he is about to pass out. Fantastic fur outfit on the little guy and gorgeous fur trim on the older child. These kids clearly came from a wealthy family. Nifty little sled, too. Photographer: J. H. Brown, Port Hope. It doesn’t specify where Port Hope is. Google search turned up towns in Canada and Michigan. Size 4 1/4 x 6 1/2. Condition of both the image and card near mint. Fine detail. This was obviously well protected in an album.
