It's too bad the condition of this one is just fair, because it is a wonderful image of two early railroad hand cars and their crews. At some point, someone hand colored the signal flags. Even though it has faded and is somewhat soiled, the detail in the image is very good. You can clearly see the old hand cut cross ties, tools on the hand cars, tin buckets, tarps, and plenty of clothing details. Several of the men have huge mustaches.
No photographer ID. Size: Photo 5" x 8". Card mount is 7" x 9 1/2". Condition is fair due to fading, but still quite a bit of good detail. Fascinating glimpse at early railroading.
