Gorgeous original London and North Eastern Railway poster featuring NORWICH. C.1950. Artist: Claude Muncaster. Impressionist style with very strong colors. Wonderful contrast and lighting. Note the details in the image, especially "DOG MARKET." This poster was printed by Gilmour & Dean Ltd., Glasgow, however it was used in the U.S. It has an overlay strip that refers to the office in Rockefeller Center in New York.
Condition is good overall. Has not been backed with linen, so it still shows the normal fold lines and the margins show some wear and a little paper loss. Image area is excellent with superb color. Can be framed beautifully as is, though backing it would obviously stabilize and protect it.
