Superb, very old game table from the 1800s. It stands 33" high x 16" side x 22" deep. You tossed metal tokens into various openings to get your score. The best spot was into the frogs mouth. The iron frog is absolutely fantastic. Beautifully rendered and cast. The other little fittings are hand made in tin and brass. Appears to have its original number stenciling for scoring.
Condition is reasonably good. It stands fine. The wooden slats inside that channel the tokens are somewhat loose. There is a small amount of old wood worm damage, but it is definitely old and not active.
Of note, we bought this in Maryland. Then, while traveling in Italy, we found a brand new one in a shop! It was clearly modeled directly on the old one. So we are guessing that this was a traditional Italian carnival game.
There is room for a small lamp on the table. Another option would be to have a lamp post added to the back, so the game table actually becomes a lamp.
