Gorgeous wood mirrors that were originally built in to a very fine railroad car, most likely a private car. The wood is solid walnut and burl veneer. There is gold edging on the trim. Superb craftsmanship. The mirror glass is old and worn. It could certainly be replaced, but the wear adds to the pieces in our opinion.
Size: 37" tall x 18 1/8" wide x 1 1/4" deep.
Condition is excellent. One of the frames looks as though it was cleaned or refinished. It was done well, but it appears somewhat lighter and cleaner than the other piece and the gold edging is gone. Though this makes them slightly different, they still work beautifully as a pair.
The photos don’t do them justice. Priced as a pair.
