What a clever old piece. The metal hooks actually close like pincers when a coat is hung on them… to keep the coat from falling off. The patent date is embossed on the metal. PAT’D APRIL 17, 1906. There are mounting holes in the middle at top and bottom.
Size: 17 1/2" wide x 6" high. The hooks extend out 6".
Condition is good overall. Doesn’t look like it has ever been restored, but it’s sound. And it still works, so it can be functional as well as decorative. Great size for a small space.
