Commemorative World War II Tile Red clay tile that says " Dutch Airborne friends thankful for Freedom". This has a paratrooper holding onto his shoot. There are other paratroopers and planes in the background. There's a windmill and an Airborne shield in the foreground.. Signed on back Grant ? Olstern...k ? Measures 4 3/4" x 6" and has two factory holes at the top for hanging or mounting this interesting tile. Done in raised line technique using many different glaze colors. In excellent condition. Hand Painted Flower Girl Tile by Mosaic This sweet little 4" square tile is hand painted and depicts a girl wearing pantaloons and carrying a bunch of blue bell type flowers in her hand. Circa 1950-60 – done on a Mosaic Tile Company blank. In excellent condition. Perfect for a little girls room! (#1975)

Vintage Rocking Horse & Boy Tile by Mosaic Tile Company This vintage tile was made by the Mosaic Tile Company of Zanesville, Ohio, circa 1956. It depicts a young boy riding a rocking horse. Done in the wax resist technique, this has lovely muted shades of tan, white, green, and burgundy in semi matte glazes. The tile measures 4 1/4" square by itself. It is nicely mounted in a handmade solid cherry wood frame, which measures 8 3/8" square and is 3/4" thick. The tile has an original paper label on the back from the Mosaic factory. It is design #4308, and was made on January 18, 1956. The tile is in excellent condition, and the frame is beautiful and ready to hang. Keyport New Jersey Architectural Tile This tile was made by the Architectural Tiling Company of Keyport New Jersey – also known as ATCO. They were in business from 1912 – 1960. Measures 4 1/4" square. Transfer printed design in nice interesting colors of black, gold, blue and purple on a cream color background. Depicts a Victorian couple courting. Tile with Kachina Figures Large tile with two Native American kachina stick figures. Measures 9 5/8" square by 5/8" thick. Hand made - has a slight upward curve to the whole tile (in other words, it is not perfectly flat). Done in wax resist technique, where the glaze pools up on either side of the lines. Colors are interesting and bright and shiny. The background was purposely done with a crazed glaze look. In excellent condition. Age and maker are unknown. (T-1292)

Moravian Pottery Flower Brocade Tile Made in 1982 by the Moravian Pottery & Tile Works, of Doylestown, Pennsylvania, this tile is done in a cut out shaped of a small flower with leaves. The glaze is cream with red flush over a terra cotta clay. Measures roughly 1 1/4" by 1". Great small tile for your collection or just to put on table and play with! In excellent condition. American Encaustic Tile Dutch Women Carrying a Bucket This is another lovely tile in the Dutch scenic series made by the American Encaustic Tiling Company, of Zanesville, Ohio, circa 1930-1940. This depicts a Dutch woman carrying a pail and walking towards water. Bright white sky background. There's a windmill in the background. This vintage tile measures 4 1/4" square – small chip to bottom right corner. There's an entire series of tiles, featuring sweet and childlike Dutch scenes that were made by American Encaustic, Franklin and American Olean tile companies. Rhodes Tile Company Hand Painted Tile This dust pressed tile was hand painted, underglaze, probably by the firm of Packard & Ord (England), circa 1950's. This is done on a blank from the Rhodes Tile Company (marked Rhotico England). Measures 3" square. In very nice condition. (#T1150-D)

Unusual Mask Ceramic Tile This pottery tile looks like something out of the Inca's! Measures 6" x 3" x 3/4" thick- red clay base - cool mottled yellow/brown colors as glazes. Heavily molded in relief. Large chip on upper left side of headdress and chip on top left edge. Probably circa 1950's. (#1480)

Set of 4 Gila / Desert House Mimbres Tiles Wonderful early Mimbres design on each of these 4 tiles. They each measure 6" square x about 1/2" thick - red clay base. Done in white background - raised line - with recessed glaze colors of turquoise, terra cotta and a great green. Circa 1950's or so - these were made at Desert House in Tucson, Arizona - possibly by the McKusick's of Gila Pottery. Perfect to create a tile table with - great southwestern colors. Ron Blumberg Hand Painted Tile This hand painted tile was done by Ron Blumberg. It depicts people walking down a street. The framing measures 12" square by 1 1/4" thick. The tile is approx. 6" square. Signed in the lower right "Blumberg". I believe this was done in the mid to late 1950's, as it is reminiscent of his "Pico Boulevard" painting and many others of this period of California Expressionism. In excellent condition. Moravian Brocade Tile Man with Hoop This depicts a boy playing with an old fashioned hoop and stick toy. Measures 4 1/4" high x 4" wide. There's a small chip on the left hand, a rub on the right hand, a small nip on the hoop, and a large side chip - still displays nicely. Generally in good condition. Dated 1976 - made by the Moravian Pottery & Tile Works in Doylestown, PA.(#T1419)

Danish Modern Tile Plaque by Soholm This large fabulous ceramic tile plaque was made by Soholm, in Denmark, circa 1960's. Measuring 13 1/4" square, this depicts a man and a woman standing in a stylized horse - great bird on the "stern" of the rocking horse boat, and a cool sunflower comes up from the bow! Created with glazes that look like crackle glass, this was made using the cuenca (raised line) technique. Signed by the designer, Simou, on the front, lower right corner. In outstanding condition.

Native American Thunderbird on Tile by DHC Nice tile made at Desert House of Crafts in Tucson, Arizona, circa 1950-60. A native American / Indian Thunderbird is the design - tile measures 3" square - done in raised line, possibly designed by the McKusick / Gila Pottery. Set in a hand made copper frame, which is 6" square. One very minor glaze nip or skip - generally very nice condition. (#T-1276)
