Weller Art Pottery in Color Purviance and Schneider are the authors of this out of print paperback book from 1971 on a well known Zanesville, Ohio pottery company. There are 24 color plates, each with its own description page, on cardboard like paper, spiral bound. Shows marks, names company lines and artists, Lonhuda, Louwelsa, Dickens ware, Turada, Aurelian, Sicard, Jap Birdimal, Selma, Forest, lamp bases, Hudson, Cameo Jewel, Woodcraft, Muskota, Marengo, Zona, figurines, Pumila, Chase, Elberta, and much more! Comes w/a 1977 Price List. Very good interior condition - wear to covers.

Bennington Pottery and Porcelain - book by Barret Author: Richard Carter Barret. This 392 page, 8 ½" x 11" hardback illustrates over 2000 items authenticated as Bennington Pottery pieces. The front flyleaf features an author signed note to the first owner of the book. The dust jacket is in poor condition. Some yellowing of pages and edges is evident. The binding is intact, pages are clean and unmarked. The black and white photos are wonderful. Out of print. Crown Publishers, 1958.

The New Keramic Gallery by Chaffers This lovely hard bound book has a green cloth and gilt cover. Written by William Chaffers and revised and edited by HM Cundall, 1926, this is Volume I of a two volume set. Published in London by Reeves and Turner. The book says it contains seven hundred illustrations of rare, curious and choice examples of Pottery and Porcelain from early times to the beginning of the Twentieth Century. There is wear to the covers, tears on the side of the cover, has the past owners sticker on the inside cover, some pages have become separated the text is very clean. A lovely and very usable reference book for the pottery collector, with the added bonus of being attractive to display.

Two Arts & Crafts Movement Reference Books The first book is "Arts & Crafts Design" "A Selected Reprint of Industrial Arts Design" by William Varnum, 1995 Gibbs Smith Publisher. Paperback 248 pages. 128 black and white photos and 65 line drawings - in very good condition with only light wear to covers.

The second book is "Collector's Style Guide Arts and Crafts" by Malcolm Haslam. Ballantine Books, 1988, 168 pages, softbound. Color and black and white photos of Arts & Crafts Movement pieces - separate chapters for furniture, metalwork, ceramics, books, jewelry - lists of makers. Light wear to covers - generally very nice condition.

Included are: the Antiques Journal from May 1970 and July 1977; Spinning Wheel (antiques magazine) from: Nov. 1970, Dec. 1970, Nov. 1971, Dec. 1971, Jan. 1973, June 1973, Sept. 1973, and a subject index to Spinning Wheel magazine for 1977.

Here are some of the articles in these magazines: California Art Tile (E.A. Batchelder), Nathan Clark's Pottery in NY state, "Tiles tell a Story" by Barbara White Morse , Isaac Broome Tiles, Rookwood's printed ware, Zsolnay pottery, Buying a Low Art Tile Stove (parts 1 and 2), University City Pottery and Taxile Doat, stove plates (Bucks County examples), the AETCO tiles of Walter Crane, University of North Dakota Pottery, Moravian Tiles (Henry Mercer), Aesop's Fables interpreted in tiles. All magazines are in generally very good condition.
