Original Mosaic Tile Company Catalog The catalog has heavy plastic covers and has 7 ring binders inside. It measures 10" x 11 5/8".
The title is embossed into the front cover. The first page is titled "Pacific Coast Products Mosaic Catalog". Also "Product information contained herin applies to ceramic tile manufactured at the General Tile Company, El Segundo, California and the Jordan Tile Maufacturing Company, Corona, California. The headings are: Wall Tile, glazed; Everglaze; Mosaics; Carlyle Quarry Tile; and All-Tile Accessories. There are 44 pages in this section.

The second tabbed section is: Conductive Tile. There is a black/white fold out picture page and a green and white printed Warranty page.

The third tabbed section is: Miscellaneous. First 2 pages are color tiles. Next is a section called "western color catalog" that is 8 pages. Then a section called "The Mosaic Tile Book of Beautiful Homes Number 12-WC" that is 16 pages. The next section is called "Mosaic Ceramic Tile Basic floor and wall material in buildings of today" - that is 32 pages.

The last catalog in this section is called "Elegance for Moderns - The newest in architectural spirit derived from age-old inspiration ... Byzantile by Mosaic". That is 24 pages.

The cover has a slight bend at the top and the pages do smell musty (or something). Other than that - every single page is clean and bright and in mint condition. (#T1109)

Carbone Wrought Iron and Maiolica Tile Catalog An interesting 12 page original catalog from Carbone. Titled "Wrought Iron and Maiolica Tile". Originally stapled in 2 places the sheets are tearing on the edges. This is probably missing its outside covers. 12" x 9" pages. Looks to be from around the 1950's or 60's. Some bending and wear to the pages but the numerous black and white images are still clear.

Mexican Tiles Book Titled "Mexican Tiles color style design" by Masako Takahashi. Published in 2000 by Chronicle Books, San Francisco. 120 pages soft cover. Great color photos. Lots of shots of installtions of Mexican tiles in kitchens, bathrooms, stairs, patios and gardens - great ideas in here. There are about 14 pages at the beginning shower older tiles as well. In unused condition.

AET 1928 Price List - Original Catalog This little booklet has 63 pages of prices for all (or most) of the lines of tiles that were produced by the American Encaustic Tiling Company in 1928. This is 7" x 4 1/2". Included are 2 other items. One is titled "Supplement Number One" - to the price list - and it is replacing pages 16, 17, and 18. The other item is a paper dated 9.29/1926, from the Wheeling and Lake Erie Railway Company - for shipping tile from AET in Zanesville, Ohio to the Waterloo Tile and Marble Company in Iowa (it's a very cool thing!). The booklet is still very readable - the covers have staining, but the interior pages are in very good overall condition. A true gem of tile history. (#BkAETPrices)

Trifold 1950 Original American-Olean Tile Catalog Very neat format on this original ceramic tile catalog from the "American-Olean Tile Company" - date 1950. This is done with two spiral bindings - so that the catalog opens from two directions. Titled "The Color Book Of Tile". Declares that the American-Olean Tile Company is jointly owned by American Encaustic Tiling Company (Landsale, PA) and Olean Tile Co. (Olean, NY) - nice documentation of an important part of the American tile industry.

The first section has 30 color plates - each with an explanation page. The second section has 8 folders of color charts, decorated units, bath accessories and floors. The 8 "folders" are actually fold out pages - tons of tile designs shown in these - for border tiles and larger tiles. Fabulous decorated tiles in here - in color (40 pages). The covers are cardboard and show wear. In inside pages are exceptionally clean and bright.

Many examples of installations, indoor, outdoor, bathrooms, etc. The second is a soft cover spiral bound catalog - 178 pages - filled with color photos - tile examples and installations. Both in very good condition.

American Art Pottery book by Sigafoose American Art Pottery by Dick Sigafoose - Another relatively new, terrific, hard back book on the market. At least half of the items are tile, contrary to the title of the book. Very different than "American Art Tile", as the author had different collecting interests. If you don’t want to spend a lot of money, buy this as your "first" American art tile book! 272 pages, published by Collector Books in 1998.

William De Morgan and His Wife - Stirling This truly interesting book is titled "William DeMorgan and His Wife" - by A. M. W. Stirling - published by Henry Holt - 1922 - this is the "Authorized Edition". De Morgan discusses his life and the life of his wife, Evelyn, and their lives together. He waxes poetic about tiles, pottery, drawing, design periods (such as Merton and Chelsea), and anecdotal happenings. This is profusely illustrated in black and white. 403 pages - hard back. Tears to the binding on the inside covers and some discoloration to the covers - the inside pages are clean. An outstanding and amusing reference book for those who love DeMorgan's pottery and tiles.
