Durand Glass Emil J. Larson - Book 3 series "Collectible Glass Presents the Technique of Emil J. Larson Featuring Durand Glass Book 3" – this is the full title of this marvelous book. First Edition – published in 1967, by Modern Photographers, New Port Richey, FL, Ted and Vi Lagerberg. This 9" x 6" oblong paperback has a yellow plastic spiral binding and heavy stock pages. Showing 234 examples, in nice color photos, from Durand glass, Dorflinger, and Quezal. Many art glass lamp shades are pictured. Minor extremity wear and scratched covers. Very clean inside.

Salt and Salt Shakers Peterson Published in 1960 by Washington College Press, this hard back book is a great reference book on salt shakers and things salt related. Written by Arthur G. Peterson, 148 pages, no dust jacket. There are 23 pages of black and white photographs of salt shakers with each page showing more than 20 shakers. One color plate at the front. The book is in very usable condition. Wear to the covers, previous owners name (1960) in book, with writing in some margins and on pages. Well used be the last owner but no spotting or tearing of interior pages. List of 830 Salt Shakers in Pattern and Art Glass is the title of Chapter 10. Excellent written information.

The book contains a 6 page price guide of pieces illustrated.

Oil Lamps – The Kerosene Era in NA Book This book is titled "Oil Lamps – The Kerosene Era in North America" by Catherine M. Thuro. Wallace Homestead, 1976, 352 pages, harbound, 8 5/8" x 11/14" out of print. Thuro is the acknowledged authority on Victorian Glass and composite lamps. This is the first of two volumes. Loaded with black and white illustrations of early flint glass and later non-flint glass. Shows finger lamps, stand lamps and early globes. Her descriptions of each lamp are short and to the point. Dust jacket has two 1" bottom tears on front and two ½" tears on the back – some wear on all edge. Bright and clean inside. Separate 1980 price guide included. (BkThuro)

Pressed Glass Salt Dishes of the Lacy Period This out of print book, by Neal, is the only reference available on Lacy salts. 465 pages are filled with excellent line drawings of each salt, exactly to size and scale. Self published in 1962. The pages are in almost unused condition, the dust jacket shows some wear. As well as a superb reference, the drawings are a work of art. This copy has the name of the previous owner, Hazel Rawls, a well known Early American Glass dealer, and bears her name opposite the front inside cover.
