This nice antique reference book is "The History of Silver" - general editor is Claude Blair - hardback with dust jacket; 1987 Ballantine Books, 256 pages. Nice chapters with excellent color and black and white photography. Covers the ancient world, Middle Ages, Renaissance and Mannerism, Baroque Silver, Rococo silver, neoclassicism, 19th and 20th Centuries, Art Deco silver and contemporary silver. Excellent condition - minor rubs to dust jacket, all interior pages clean and bright.

Annemarie Davidson Wood & Enamel Dresser Box
This beautifully crafted dresser box was made in Sierra Madre, California by Annemarie Davidson. She has been making exquisite items since the late 1940's - age is unknown on this piece, but probably contemporary. The wooden box measures 6 3/8" long by 4 3/8" wide, and sits 1 1/2" high. This has a fabulous enameled lid, with three leaves on a branch. There is an original paper foil label on the bottom and a small original paper card inside. Pewter Handled Basket
Wonderful simple, flowing design on this handled pewter basket. Four molded feet on the bottom. Handles are attached with an attractive 3 petal form. The entire surface is planished. Marked on the bottom with a conjoined "CF" and "Period Pewter" and the number "377". Unknown maker and country of origin. Measures 11 1/4" long by 8 3/4" across. Total height is 5 1/4". This is in excellent condition. (#T-1752)

Annemarie Davidson Native American Kachina Plate
making exquisite items since the late 1940's - age is unknown on this piece, but probably contemporary. This plate measures 9" in diameter and has a Kachina as its main design. Marked on the back and has the original paper foil label. Excellent condition.
This has a fabulous enameled lid, with three leaves on a branch. There is an original paper foil label on the bottom and a small original paper card inside. (#T-1284)

Retro Enameled Dish
This is a funky piece of enameled metalware. It measures 7 ¾” in diameter, and was obviously designed as an ashtray. Lots of other uses as well - great decorative piece! This has a copper base with pink, purple and blue enamel colors in the background. The design looks like bar ware (glasses) and maybe vases, all done in a shimmery copper color. There’s a cool cherry in the bottom of one glass. No marks on the black and gray speckled enamel back. I suspect this is from the 1940’s. In nice condition - there is one edge chip on the right side (which can be seen in the photo), minimal surface wear. A great Art Deco look, or to go with your 1950’s decor! (#T1613)

Champleve Vase
This bronze and enamel champleve vase is done in the Arts & Crafts Movement style. There are three oak leaves going around the vase, each connected to a heavy line from above. Coming off the sides of each leaf is a vine type decoration - which leads to a design of three seed pods. The body of the vase is heavily impressed with a bark like motif. Measures 8 3/4" tall; the foot has a diameter of 3 1/8". Unmarked, the enameling in the rust colored leaf is very worn, and there is minor wear to the other two leaves. This still displays beautifully. (#T-1753)

Jugendstil DuMont Pewter Crumber Set
This is one of the most wonderful crumber sets I have seen. The tray has roundels pressed up and hundreds of incised lines that create a mountain type form. Almost looks as though it's a stars and mountain scene. Tray measures 9 3/8" across at its widest by 6 3/4" high. The accompanying tool is 10 1/4" long. Both pieces are signed on the back. The last name is "Du Mont" - the first name begins with a "P" - and may be Peter. Condition: 2 scratches on the tray (one is 1" long, the other 1/2" - and not deep) - normal wear to the back. Age is unknown. The craftsmanship is superb. (#T-1617)

Danish Pewter Nut Dishes
This is a neat pair of pewter nut dished with figural squirrel handles. One is marked "Diller & Tornoe Pewter Denmark Backhaus" - the other is just marked "Backhaus Pewter Denmark" . They measures 3 3/4" from front to back and the squirrel stands 1 5/8" high. Shell shaped bowl. Wear is present but they both show very nicely. (#T-1762)

Max Rieg Tray
A simple yet beautiful piece of pewter work by Max Rieg, noted for his work with Williamsburg. Measures 6 1/8" in diameter, and 7 3/8" from handle to handle. This has a shallow lip. Marked on the back, design number 1106, circa 1930. Each side of each handle has three small balls attached to a swirling design. Minor overall bending to the piece, and surface wear. Displays very nicely. (#T-1615)

Farberware Chrome Coffee Service
An outstanding retro 4 piece chrome coffee service made by Farberware of Brooklyn, New York! Comes with a serving tray, creamer, sugar, and coffee pot. The set was never used, and the electric coffee pot still has the original paper label covering the interior basket, and the cord is still wound in the original pattern. You remember how to percolate coffee, and how great that tastes?!! The tray, which does have some scratching, measures about 16 1/4" from handle to handle. The coffee pot has a nice lightly impressed wreath garland pattern - minor wear to the bowl under this (see photo). Displays outstandingly! (#T1765)

Liberty Style The Classic Years 1898-1910 by Mervyn Levy. Hardback, 1986 Rizzoli 160 pages, 130 illustrations. A pictorial and written discussion of the marvelous wares sold be Liberty & Company - London, England. The directory of manufacturers and directory of artists and designers is one of the most valuable reference sections in this out of print reference book. Some of the artists/firms/areas covered are: Archibald Knox, Voysey, Tudric, John Pearson, Clutha, furniture, wallpaper, pewter, silver, pottery and jewelry. Dust jacket lightly scuffed w/small tears, interior pages very decent.

Art Nouveau and Art Deco Silver Book
This wonderful hard back book is titled "Art Nouveau and Art Deco Silver" by Annelies Krekel-Aalberse. Published in 1989 by Harry Abrams - 272 pages. In generally excellent condition with only minor scuffing to the dust jacket. All interior pages bright and clean. 8 chapters - divided by country (Great Britain, France, Belgium, US, Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Scandanavia, Finland and Russia). Nice concise biography of makers at the back, as well as a mark section. Outstanding color photos - basically all of the major players in the silver world are discussed - in the Art Nouveau and Art Deco eras.
