Bennington Pottery and Porcelain - book by Barret
Author: Richard Carter Barret. This 392 page, 8 ½" x 11" hardback illustrates over 2000 items authenticated as Bennington Pottery pieces. The front flyleaf features an author signed note to the first owner of the book. The dust jacket is in poor condition. Some yellowing of pages and edges is evident. The binding is intact, pages are clean and unmarked. The black and white photos are wonderful. Out of print. Crown Publishers, 1958.

Soft cover trade paperback. 1984 Workman Publishing. This 224 page book is in excellent condition - and covers just about everything a collector could want to know about teddy bears.
The second book is "Teddy Bears & Steiff Animals" by Margaret Fox Mandel. Soft cover trade paperback - 1984 Collector Books. There are hundreds of color photos of items that are either teddy bears, or related to teddy bears, and Steiff animals and dolls. 288 pages in excellent condition.

Art Nouveau and Art Deco Silver Book
This wonderful hard back book is titled "Art Nouveau and Art Deco Silver" by Annelies Krekel-Aalberse. Published in 1989 by Harry Abrams - 272 pages. In generally excellent condition with only minor scuffing to the dust jacket. All interior pages bright and clean. 8 chapters - divided by country (Great Britain, France, Belgium, US, Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Scandanavia, Finland and Russia). Nice concise biography of makers at the back, as well as a mark section. Outstanding color photos - basically all of the major players in the silver world are discussed - in the Art Nouveau and Art Deco eras.

Barquist, and published by the Yale University Art Gallery, New Haven, Ct., 1985 - 80 pages. Some of the American pewter makers that are discussed, and illustrated, are: Thomas Danforth Boardman, Sherman Boardman, Robert Bonynge, Samuel, John, and Thomas Danforth, Samuel Hamlin, and Reed and Barton. Some of the English pewter makers include: Thomas Carpenter, Dixon and Son, John Shorey, and John Yates. In nice condition.

Two Arts & Crafts Movement Reference Books
The first book is "Arts & Crafts Design" "A Selected Reprint of Industrial Arts Design" by William Varnum, 1995 Gibbs Smith Publisher. Paperback 248 pages. 128 black and white photos and 65 line drawings - in very good condition with only light wear to covers.
The second book is "Collector's Style Guide Arts and Crafts" by Malcolm Haslam. Ballantine Books, 1988, 168 pages, softbound. Color and black and white photos of Arts & Crafts Movement pieces - separate chapters for furniture, metalwork, ceramics, books, jewelry - lists of makers. Light wear to covers - generally very nice condition.

Oriental Rug Magazines
This is a wonderful set of magazines for reference, research or just curiosity, about rugs of all types. Titled "Oriental Rug Review", the magazines date from between 1987 - 1992. There are a total of 29 magazines plus Volume 8 index, Volume 9 index, and Volume 10 index. All of these are in very good condition, and contain hundreds of color photographs of rugs and weavings. A must have for anyone interested in rugs!
