AET Antique Floral Tiles - Set of 18 Wonderful set of 18 tiles made by the American Encaustic Tiling Company, of Zanesville, Ohio - circa 1890. Each tile measures 3" square by 1/2" thick. Vintage American Olean Tile What a cool glaze on this vintage hexagonal tile made by American Olean. Probably circa 1950's - this measures 7 1/2" point to point, and 6 1/2" across the flat sides. Brownish red clay body, it is 3/8" thick. The surface has a wavy feel - so it's not totally flat. In very nice condition - great for a coaster or trivet in your Retro house! (#T-2075)

Pair Antique Figural Architectural Terra Cotta Panels Fabulous and unusual pair of terra cotta panel - with nice high relief areas. Both measures 11 3/4" high x 6" wide by 1" thick. The right tile design is a pitcher with flowers coming out of the top - draped with cloth - books are propped up against the bottom left side of the pitcher. The pitcher has a great scene on it - a man sits in a chair, holding a paper or book in his right hand and a woman stands looking down at him. Two children are running around a tree (just to the upper right of the couple).

The left tile design is a lidded cornucopia - the lid has a birds head . The bottom of the cornucopia swirls back up into another birds head with a long beak.
Condition: The left tile has a large chip and crack on the left side (and part of a hairline from this on the back). It also has a top left edge chip. The right tile has a chip on the right edge 3/4 way down. Both have minor traces of mortar. These were obviously de-installed.

Unmarked - circa 1880-1900 - probably American. Truly classic designs. Outstanding if framed. (#T-1771)

Vintage Tonala Mexican Tile - Flowers #2 Wonderful vintage Tonala tile made in the Jalisco area of Mexico. This measures about 4 1/2" square by 1/2" thick. This de-installed tile has minor amounts of mortar/grout on the back and sides. Chips to two corners - traces of white substance across the bottom. From the 1920's - the soft earth tones and burnished feel make this flower tile very appealing. This is one of 4 Tonala tiles we currently have in stock.
