Antique Villeroy & Boch mosaic look floor tiles These encaustic floor tiles date about 1880 and are matte glaze with a multi color mosaic pattern. Each is 6 5/8" square. Four tiles form a complete pattern.

Classic design and look and perfect for a hearth, floor, or other project! Sold in sets of 4, all are in good condition with minimal edge nips. Three sets in total (12 tiles) - this is for a group of 4.

Three Flowers in an Urn - Batchelder Tile #2 Great Batchelder tile with a central design of three large round flowers in a footed pot (or urn). Nice floral and geometric border surrounds the design. Done in classic matte finish with reddish brown and blue (in the recesses), this tile was made by Batchelder, in Los Angeles, California, circa 1920. Measuring 5 7/8" square by 3/4" thick. The tile has obviously been de-installed and has minor remains of mortar on the back. Minor mortar in some recesses on the front. Generally in very nice condition. This is design #35 in the Batchelder tiles catalog. (#1923-4538)

Claycraft Vase and Flowers Tile #2 This nicely molded tile by Claycraft Potteries of Los Angeles, California, measures 3 ¾" x 1 ¾" x 5/8" thick. The design is 3 bunches of flowers with a vine coming up out of a bowl. Hard to capture the subtle colors, the background is a brown slip, and the glazes are pale blue on the bowl and the tendril with leaves coming from the top. The two flowers on the left have some pink or salmon in the crevices. In generally very good condition - minor chip on left side edge. From the mid 1920’s. (#2024)

Four Tile Cattail Panel by American Encaustic This 4 tile vertical panel was made by the American Encaustic Tiling Company, of Zanesville, Ohio around 1890. Each tile measures 6" square, and is done in a brownish green majolica glaze. The four tiles display nicely together, however note that the pattern on the top and second tiles don't match up exactly. There would have been another tile in the pattern between these. All tiles are in very nice condition, with only the most minor edge wear. There is an extra tile with the set - that is a duplicate of the second tile from the top (for a total of 5 tiles). We have a 3 tile cattail panel in a lime green glaze as well. (#1477)

Vintage Moravian Pomegranate Brocade Tile A great brocade tile made by the Moravian Pottery & Tile Works, of Doylestown, Pennsylvania, this is from circa 1920. This is a pomegranate. Done in dark green glaze over buff clay. Measures 4" top to bottom and 4" across at the widest part, and is 7/8" thick. Generally very nice condition - very minor nips on edges. Arts & Crafts Gemini Tile Part of a Zodiac series of tiles, this one has a design of two people holding hands - for the sign of the twins - Gemini. Unglazed dark gray clay, this press molded tile is unmarked and measures just under 4 1/4" square and is 7/8" thick. Edges and corners have minor chips. I suspect this may be a Mueller tile, circa 1920. This is one of three in the series that I have in stock. (#T2080)

Moravian Pottery Brocade Figural Tile This is a very interesting "cut out" or brocade tile made by the Moravian Pottery & Tile Works, of Doylestown, PA in 1976. It measures 7" long by 4" at its widest. A Mayan or Aztec type man wearing an ornate necklace and holding a club. A factory glaze pop in the headress. In excellent condition. (# T-1417)
