Windflower Low Standard Covered Compote American maker unknown for this pattern, c. 1875. 9"d x 8"h. with cover, 5" h. without cover. This compote has a patterned foot and a flower finial. Unlike many pieces, the pattern is on the inside of the glass, rather than the outside. The cover fits very well. The rim on which the lid rests has a series of small chatter marks on the outside edge which you can feel plus 2 flat flakes on the surface, the largest being 1/4" long. The underside of the lid rim has a 1" section of small chatter marks and a 1/8" flat surface flake. Under the base rim are 2 small chips, one about 1/8", the other 1/4". (146X)

Holly Cake Stand Original manufacturer unknown. Sometimes attributed to Sandwich, c. 1870. 10 ½" d x 5 ¼" h. Rope band around rim. Hollow stem with wafer attachment to base. No chips., no highly visible knife marks, excellent glass clarity. A 1" long manufacturing defect extends from the edge towards the center. (6144)

Hamilton Flint Compote Made by the Sandwich Glass Company, c. 1860’s. This flint compote measures 7"d x 5" h. There are ¼" chips on the top of 2 contiguous scallops and a lesser chip on the one next to them. Three other scallops have small flakes. The outside pattern of the compote has a small section with less than pinhead sized breaks in the design. Own a piece of American history that is 150 years old! (#4978)

Dakota High Standard Compote The Dakota pattern is a product of Ripley & Co, and US Glass, c.1885. This is a very large compote with a flared rim, measuring 8 ¾" d x 8 3/4" h. The top rim has about a 3 ½" section that cooled too quickly causing the rim to be out of true round. Except for this anomaly, excellent condition. (#5588)
