Worcester Cty Agricultural Society ironstone plate This 8 ¾” ironstone plate says “Worcester County Meet” , “AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY”, “CHARTERED”, “1851”. Made in England, from around 1851, this transfer design is surrounded by a “cartouche wreath of wheat, corn and flowers…” see Petra Williams book “Staffordshire II” page 387. Although the transfer is blurred, the plate is in very nice condition.

Moyr Smith Industrial Series Plate - Mason John Moyr Smith designed a series of tiles for Mintons China Works around 1870, called the Industrial Series (aka The Trades). There were 12 tiles in the series - which are sometimes hard to find. This early series was also adapted to desert dishes in brown on white transfer. This plate is "The Mason". Measuring 8 1/2" in diameter. It has 3 minor rim chips and light discoloration to the back of the dish. Generally, it is in very good overall condition. We also have 2 other plates in this series. Aurora Polychrome Transferware Plate This plate, in the Aurora pattern, is done in great polychrome colors of black, green, blue, red and yellow. Measures 10 1/4" in diam. Made in England between 1845-1858 by F. Morley & Company. In excellent condition. (#T-2053)

Eagle Plate circa 1850 - #4 Made by Podmore Walker & Sons from 1849-1859, this plate is in the Eagle pattern. Dark blue - measures 8 3/4". Three glaze stilt marks apparent on surface. Excellent condition. (#T-1914)
