BxPershingBox

General Pershing Tile in Original Box from Mosaic This Medallion of General John J. Pershing was made by the Mosaic Tile Company, Zanesville, OH, circa 1940. What's so amazing about this particular piece is that this comes in its original paper / cardboard box – which I have never seen before! The box says the name of the ceramic medallion, as well as "Distributed Through The American Legion Price $1.50". The top edge of the box is pretty well gone on both the top and bottom pieces. But that a box still exists is pretty amazing. The tile was made for the American Legion Zanesville Post Number 29, as part of their Home Building Fund. Measuring 5 ¼" x 3 5/8", Pershing is molded in high relief, in white on a Wedgwood blue color background. This is in excellent condition (#BxPershingBox)
