GAR Glass Platter This rectangular glass platter ( bread plate ) honors the Grand Army of the Republic which was organized in 1866. The GAR insignia forms the center panel. Engraved in small letters on the medal in that center panel is " Grand Army of the Republic Veteran 1861-1866." United States shields decorate the corners. Illustrated in Lindsey "American Historical Glass. " 11 1/8" l x 7 5/8" w. c. 1870-1880. Excellent condition. (#5593)

Garfield Memorial Mug Adams & Co. made this mug, c. 1881. 2 ¼" h x 1 7/8" d. One side depicts Garfield’s bust and name, the other is draped with the dates of his birth and death. The underfoot has beads which rest on the table, all in perfect condition as is the rest of the mug. (5999)

Faith Hope Charity Plate Maker unknown, c.1875. 10" d. without handles x 1 ½" high, making it a deeper plate than many others. Also known as the Three Graces. Patent date of Nov. 23, 1875, is on the plate. Swirling hairline thin manufacturing lines can be seen on the surface of the plate . Excellent condition, no nicks or chips. (6070)

Franklin Pottery Commemorative Ben Franklin Tile Made by Franklin Pottery, Lansdale, PA, circa 1925. This commemorative tile measures 2 3/4" square. Semi matte blue glaze in the recesses, dark gray brownish color body. This shows a silhouette of Benjamin Franklin, with his walking stick, and the initials "FP" for Franklin Pottery. Marked on the back. This is in nice condition – minor scuffing of the clay on his leg and walking stick. (#T1150-C)

President Garfield Tumbler This is a thick walled tumbler with a medallion bust of President Garfield pressed into the base. He is framed by a Laurel Wreath, underneath which is printed "Garfield." Garfield was assassinated in 1881 and served as president for less than a year. 3 5/8" h x 3 ¼" d. Excellent condition. (5703)
