Civil War Flint Tumbler This is a bell-toned flint tumbler. It has 2 large panels separated by Liberty Poles and Caps, one of the oldest symbols of freedom. One panel features a cannon and ramrod with a stack of cannonballs, a mortar, ball,and flag waving in the background. The second panel is an eagle with a shield on its breast. One talon holds the staff of a 34 star flag (1861-63} and a long sword in the other. Excellent condition. (#5667)

Flag, Eagle and Fleur de Lys Milk Glass Plate Made by the Westmoreland Glass Co., c.1903. This 7" milk glass plate has traces of its original "goofus glass" type gold paint. The patent date and number appear on the back of the flag (Sept. 8, 03 36538). Made in 1903. Excellent condition. (#5368)

GAR Glass Platter This rectangular glass platter ( bread plate ) honors the Grand Army of the Republic which was organized in 1866. The GAR insignia forms the center panel. Engraved in small letters on the medal in that center panel is " Grand Army of the Republic Veteran 1861-1866." United States shields decorate the corners. Illustrated in Lindsey "American Historical Glass. " 11 1/8" l x 7 5/8" w. c. 1870-1880. Excellent condition. (#5593)

Martha Washington plate Martha Washington’s portrait is on this porcelain plate measuring 6 7/8" in diameter. This is a transfer printed design, with a gold rim around the plate’s edge. Made by Jaeger & Company, Bavaria, probably around 1920. In excellent condition. (#260E)

Fort Hays American Historical Paperweight This round, stoneware paperweight measures 2 7/8" in diameter and is 1" in height. This has a press molded design in relief of the "Block House Old Fort Hays Wats, Kansas". The fort itself was established in 1865, as a US Army Post protecting railroad travellers on the Smoky Hill Trail. The Block House is one a four original buildings still standing.

The paperweight was made by Fort Hays State College Pottery, between 1935 - 1948. Done in a brown majolica glaze, this is in excellent condition.

Etched Glass Tumbler Palais Ducal Nancy Details abound on this glass thin walled tumbler of the Palais Ducal, Nancy (France-Lorraine). 4" h x 2 5/8" w. Etching is very finely detailed from the knight on horseback to the great architectural spires and windows. This tumbler is probably of French origin, c. 1910. (5800)

Confederate States Tile by Wheeling Made by the Wheeling Tile Company, of Wheeling, West Virginia, this 6" round tile / trivet has a printed designs in gray, black and white. Depicts a soldier on a horse in the center. The edge reads "The Confederate States Of America 22 February 1862". There are 2 small edge chips - otherwise in very nice condition. Probably made in the 1950's or 1960's. (#1221)
